Forced Air Questions. 1994 V6 3.8L BIG TOPIC, BIG QUESTION
I want to learn some stuff about forced induction systems. Here are some I want to learn about about:
Ram Air Turbo Chargers Super Charger Blowers Pro Chargers Intakes-Inductions Any others??
As you might have guessed I don't know much about the topic, I think a couple names are for the same systems.
Basically I want to know which ones will work on my 1994 3.8L V6.
I want to know: Price Ranges
Ease/Complexity of Install Modifications that might/will be needed Pros and Cons of the Systems
How they work
And any other information that might be helpful.
Thanks, Let's see the FEEDBACK!

Too poor to Mod it.

Reason: spelling error& title change.
The best way to learn about this is to do some google searches.
The term blower applies to both turbo and superchargers aka forced induction. Ram air and cold air can be considered forced induction but not really what most people think about. It usually refers to compressing air and blowing it into the intake (what turbo and superchargers do)
Easiest install would be superchargers. If you can fab and bend piping, then turbos might be more cost effective but most of us in the garage don't have those tools.
Procharger is a brand of supercharger. Vortech and paxton are other popular brands but I believe only procharger and vortechmake v6 kits.
Procharger is self contained, meaning you won't need to drill and tap a hole in your oil pan to get it oil. It also comes with an intercooler to allow you to run more boost and make more power. $3500
Vortech does not have an intercooler and you need to drill and tap a hole in your oil pan to get it oil. Install is a little easier because of the lack of the intercooler. new systems will for about $3000.
You can almost always find a used kit somewhere though you'll probably have to hunt down parts for them. You can get a used kit for less than $2000.

Vortech S-trim 9 psi
T-lok 3.73, Steeda Tri-ax shifter, Eibach springs, KYB shocks/struts, Steeda bumpsteer kit with X2 balljoints, Steeda clutch quadrant with adjuster, Steeda rear lower control arms (uppers coming soon) 2.5in dual exhaust with H-pipe, Borla mufflers, 3in tips.
Don't take my word on this, but procharger is easiest to install from what I've heard from local shops.

What if i want the blower that stick out of my hood? what are some pros and cons of that, prices, will it fit my V6, and what else do i have to do to make it fit my mustang?

If you are referring to the old style blowers, it won't work on your car. Nathan on V6P has an M112 on his car that sticks out of the hood. You would need to go split port along with the adapter kit and the M112 itself. Oh yeah, and rebuild your motor while you're at it. New tranny and rear end also? Dynotune for it? Oh yeah, at least another $500.00 for that without the programmer.......
ouch... haha. no mods over 2 grand... not that i can afford that anyway, i bought the car for 2000. haha

Big boy toys for big boys only...... It requires alot of cash when considering forced induction mods, or even forced induction consequences. It is the domino effect........

That is true.
Man, well said Tom.
Single Port? Split Port? What do those terms mean?
I'm taking a wild guess...
SOHC? DOHC? No....that's not right. I'm guessing it has to do with the Intake. Hmmmm..?

is there something light? like something like a heavy duety fan, not quit a super or a turbo charger, something simple that will give you a couple extra PSI

wat u talking about?
since u are a single port, u do have another option as well, the m90
the m90 was a supercahrger made for our engine(single port V6), and it is a bolt on, sits on top, can usualy b found for cheap, but u have ton get all the parts outa the supercoupe.
some will also to just take the whole supercoupe engine out, since it is stronger
i plan on doing this swap, but not till after stanger98 does his, since hes gonna help me with mine
and after i swap mine in, im gonna go easy on it, till i get forged internalls(i may eve up the displacemnt to 4.2, since ill be in the neighborhood)
i kinda figured ram air didn't do much for you. Unless your funneling it in with a rediculous scoop and going like 100, then the drag will bite you.
