Default 2001 V6 Mustang: HCI swap finally

Alright so my deal has just gone through and an upper and lower intake is being ported and polished for me and the heads are getting ported/polished/enlarged exhaust ports/bowl work/3-angle job..here are the specs on the cam I'm getting
218/224 .55/.55 1.7 112

any suggestions on the valve springs I should go with? rocker arms? anything I'm missing? Im trying to keep the cost down as much as possible.. I know shiner and 232 will prolly be of some help..

well I didn't know if you were familiar with all this but alright Jake! what springs/retainer kit do you recommend to match up with my cam? also what would be your spill on the rocker arms??

Yes Hipo is the one doing it for me and he gave me a good price..525 for both the upper and lower intake, and 550 for complete work on the heads..I am getting the cam from ssx which is about 400. I am installing everything myself so the price is going to be almost 1500 for everything...

I chose that cam because it fits in perfectly with the power I am going to be pushing with everything ported and polished..I have in mind a supercharger down the road also so I am just preparing myself for that as well..It also has a sick idle

I would say the SSMS 118 spring & retainer kit would work fine for you, BUT since you have boost in mind you might wanna speak to tom Y about it.

Your getting the 1.7RR's also right?

Tom said that with that cam I could run stock RR's if I wanted to...which is kind of why I posted here to see what you guys think..should I spend extra money and get those right now as well or can I afford to wait?

I would get the rr's now, so you don't have to change them out later. You'll also have to measure pushrod length.

ya it seems to be the best cam for my application..a plus side is that it also has a sexy idle

I won't be running boost for a while though is that when I'm going to need RR? I guess what I am trying to say is that I am not even all that sure what exactly they are for..

You don't need RR's. It just frees up hp......

Wow...

It's like a kid waiting for his Christmas present. I was understanding everything until you guys got to RR's, what is that? I'm sorry to have "hi-jacked" this thread, I just want to know because I'll be getting myself into P&P HCI swap later down the road.

But damn Paul, you're one lucky sunnova beach! I want that sick idling sound.
