I've had a gas consumption issue for a while now. I've done the basics, new fuel filter, cleaned the MAF, tb..I'm still getting shy of 15 mpg. I have a new set of plugs waiting to put on. What gives, what's going on that's consuming all of this gas?

A bad TPS can be the culpret. The sensor can be reading fine but it is not working correctly. It is cheap and from experience has fixed may driveability problems. Also take some die electric grease and put on all of the electrical plugs u can find under the hood.
seafoam ur car. i put seafoam in my gas tank and changed my oil and spark plugs/wires and i went from 13-14 mpg to 18mpg

I will be giving my car an overhaul this spring as well. I think a seafoam treatment is also on the menu. But I have always gotten at least 18mpg even when the car was not running the greatest.
I have found for most folks the biggest loss of MPG is caused by their right foot.

I really am conservative on the gas. There's really no rush in accelerating quickly with all 190 horses..

I fully understand. That is why I also put
I too have become a LOT more conservative with my gas use, but my wife still gets better MPG than I do no matter what we are driving. LOL I guess my foot is a tad heavier than hers is.

That's on my agenda list. However, I'm not due for an oil change for another like, 1700 miles. (3k) If I were to do it now, is it strongly recommended that I change my oil right after?
