Default third piston missfiering

hey guys, i have a problem with my stang, and basically it says it all in the title, the thirs piston is missfiering...i got it checked up by a mechanic and they checked the compression and its perfect, and then they took the spark plug out and it was covered by black crap, they said. but yeah i was just wondering what else could it be besides a crack somewhere.one of my friends that is a mechanic said it could the thing that all the sparkplugs connect to, i forgot it was called, something coil...but yeah...

The "something coil" is your distributor coil.

The black crap is probably oil, and depending on if the entire head of the plug is coated or just a portion of it is coated will tell you where the oil is leaking into your piston from. If its a small section, that means its leaking from somewhere within the valve covers, if its coated entirely, you have a bad gasket on your piston and the oil is getting mixed with your fuel when the piston cycles, which would certainly cause a misfire, if I recall.

If its just one plug, I'm not inclined to believe that the whole distributor coil is bad, since, in theory, if one plug is having issues, they're all going to have issues, but I know little more than the most basic things when it comes to the ignition system, so don't take my word for any of this until its confirmed or stated otherwise by someone else who knows what they're talking about.
