Default 2005 Mustang convertable window malfunction

Hey, I've been having trouble with the window on my 05' mustange convertable...It has lost the "soft up" function and now whenever you raise it completely, it bounces back to about halfway down.

I have read the manual, and performed the "reprogram" about a million times, trying to fix it...nothing works. IDK what else to try and was hoping some of you "mustang guys" could help me!

Any advice???

Default 2005 Mustang Convertible Window Malfunction

Hi Michelle,

Hope your malfunctioning power window is now working.

If not, you could try the following which I also just came across with tonight that helped fixed a similar problem with my 2006 GT:
1. With the key on (ignition on only), push down to open the window and hold for two seconds.
2. Still with the key on, pull up to close the window and hold for two seconds.
Turn off ignition and the window should now work fine.

I further learned that the power window could malfunction after the car battery goes dead. I haven't used my car for a good while and found my battery dead this afternoon. After recharging the battery and gotten the car to start, I noticed the driver side window as having lost the "soft up" feature. Fortunately, the above steps fixed the problem.
