2 reasons to use OEM manufacturer plugs:

1) OEM plugs (Autolite for us, whatever type) are designed to fire properly with the polarity given off by our coil pack. The electrodes are designed to withstand the specific way that the coil pack fires. Changing the plug brand will erode them quicker because the electrode is shaped differently.
2)This means very slight increase in performance (.5 hp maybe) using OEM brand plugs.

You should only consider different plugs if you have nitrous or a performance coil pack.

I don't know about all that - but I jsut put Bosch +4 platinum irridium because the guy said they were the best.

I was changing the plugs to track down a hesitation - my car now hesitates MUCH WORSE!
