do you have an 01+ GT hood scoop or a 99 35th anniversary hood scoop? the 01 has like 8 bolts you have to drill through the hood. The 35th is a lower profile and only has two circular studs that you have to drill through the hood and fasten on with lock washers and 3m double sided tape.

ok , on the 35th you have two studs down the middle of the hood scoop. drill holes so that they wull go through the hood. You will have to use 3m double sideded adhesive tape ( one with the red back ) around the perimiter of the scoop. Then their will be two screw mounts near the front that you can run screws into from the bottom of the hood. Now , you can use lock washers go go around the studs. Thats how I mounted mine and I have never has a problem with it , been on the interstate at 100+ MPH and no issues.

its beautiful. how far exactly did you mount it from the windshield side? other gt owners told me 5 1/4 but when check the online installation guide it says 7 5/8 inches.

I really don't remember what size. I didn't measure either. I just layed it on the hood and eyeballed it...lol
