Alright guys i just got my stang not even two weeks ago. I'm tired of the boring exhaust note.
I'm on a budget (like 400 or less) and want to get this baby to rumble i want a low tone not a high pitched one and i dont know what muffler to get.
I will be getting a true dual exhaust system when i get my mufflers as well. But i dont know which ones to get. (flow master, magnaflow, ect) I know glass packs sound horrible on the V6.
any info would be great guys i appreciate it

well yours is a 3.9 so its a 2004 i believe. i have a friend that has the 2004 and has magna flow. i have to say its not that loud and i would deffentally expect flowmaster to be louder. also his is just a cat back system off the stock Y pipe so your sound and his will be slightly different with the true dual exhaust. good luck. and welcome

hmm i actualy got a a set of FREE 40 series mufflers :-D. My manager gave them to me as a present for getting a "muscle car".. I have a really good question, will the X pipe from a GT fit on the V6?

I would put on the Flow 40's. They should sound good on your car. I don't think the X pipe off the GT will work but I could be wrong. I'm sure someone will chime in.
wow.. sounds nice, looks like i'm gunna be happy.. Hmm i just hope that X pipe works

well i guess the X pipe didnt fit.. now i'm looking at the Pypes X Pipe but it says it works with short tube design? does that mean my stock header will not work?

They do good work too. They have an 02 V6 there with Mangaflow's that sounds pretty good, just not loud enough for me
I'm just hoping they dont tell me they have to Y pipe it... that would make me a bit pissed off. Since i want true dual.

Nah, the shop should do what the costumer wants. If they can't do it simply take your business else where. Plus I've never heard a muffler shop tell a customer no if they want a true dual.
