I've heard many good things about the Magnaflows...any ideas on which I should go with? I think that combo would be good...I was gonna go with a custom made roush side exhaust but i want to rumble...please leave some thoughts...

im not for sure if the h pipe is the best deal for your money, but i do know magnaflow rocks, ive had it before on a cougar v6, and my dad has a magnaflow catback dual setup on his Camaro, both sound very sweet... When i decide eventually to take off my current, illegal exhaust, i will get true duals with two magnaflow chambers...

ok...so is there any other way to do it without an H-pipe? I thought to put the duals on a v6 u needed an h-pipe, and i know about the MAC y-pipe thing, but i want magnaflows...also, what model magnaflows should i get?

hmm, im not sure about having to have an h pipe, i always assumed you could have true duals, one pipe on each side, simple enough,,, unless im mistakened...
As for which series of magnaflow to go with, it all depends how loud you want it, for our mustangs i think theres just a few different series or choice to pick from, at least thats what my local muffler shop said, they had shown me a choice of a three different ones, which ranged from quiet to rumble loud.. i would always go with the loudest-deepest tone one...

Get an H-pipe with cats and magnaflow mufflers. Magnaflows are awesoem!! i love everything about them. You will want to get an H pipe with cats for a couple of erasons, i would want to get on myself because of emissions but since you have a 6, with an off road H pipe you wont have enough back pressure. Monkey Boy says he doesn't have enough backpressure with true duals at idle, spend a little more a get a catted H pipe, if i were you i would just get a stock GT h-pipe..
Ok, guys, I'm goin tomorrow and heres the deal...Im gonna have em put on dual magnaflows...im gonna see if they can just cut the stock pipe a few inches past the cats and weld in the new piping...i can have this done for around $180...what do u guys think?

i had it on my cougar v6, same engine, but abit slower.... sounded pretty decent, gave u that nice deep rumble tone, just abit higher tone then the v8's and ofcourse not quite as loud, still decent though, and magnaflow mufflers, are great for performance exhaust....

so today i went and got one flowmaster 40 put on with a turn down...sounds mean as hell! cost me 98.98 for it...plus it'll take off of the price of the duals in the future...oh yah he wanted waaaaay more than $180 lol...my buddy quoted me wrong...eh oh well, i wanna hear the magnaflows still, i may get them when i go for duals...

cool, you got an awesome sound for 100 bucks, Nice... but still if it was me, i would have at least done the cut off pipe thing, which i did do for my car, for an extra 50$, just so not only does it sound mean, and looks like mean with duals... THis is basically a temporary setup for my car, i will get magnaflow duals for my car eventually...
