I just replaced my water pump and i dont think i put the p.s. pulley back on far enough because i heard a loud squeal and the drivebelt shredded after about 15 miles how far back does it have to be i tried using the puller till it wouldt go anymore at all can anyone look at their pulley and see how far back the brass thread is in the middle of the pulley i cant seem to get it flush

It is supposed to go back until flush with the front peice.Use a spacer on the puller to help you get it pushed on farther.
