Default V6 Mustang Torque

Hi everyone I was looking on MSN Autos and I saw that V6 Mustang 99-04 are putting out 220 Ft-lb of torque at 2750RPM. If it is doing that much at 2750 what would it be doing at around 5000 RPM?

Thanks!!!

Much lower. The numbers that the car manufacturers give out are peak numbers. That means that the 220-225 lb ft of trq given is the highest that the engine makes. I have not seen too many stock dyno graphs of the split-ports to know what they are making at 5 grand. I would bet that it is low low, somewhere around 130-150 trq. This is just a guess. Pushrod engines generally like to make their trq down low anyway, especially 3.8's and 5.0's.
