I tightened my pan, added some fluid and now my problems started. When moving from park to drive my car "jumps" forward, or from park to reverse it "jumps" backward. Also, when idiling my rpms never go below 1 1/2, this never happened prior to the incident. Anyone have any insight if there are any quick fixes I can do? Or am I looking at some transmission damage and need to replace it? |
Do NOT get me started on Midas!
(OK, the thread is about Midas, so what am I saying? I detest Midas, based upon ancient wrongdoing to yours truly, and that's all I'll say about it now.)
Sounds to me like you have clear grounds to yell at the owner of that store (assuming its a franchise) or Midas home office (if its a company store).
It might help, and will at least make you feel better.
Sounds like someone was trying to rip you off. Did you drive the car home without fluid?
In any event, you need to first see if Midas will fix it for free.
They should, they REALLY should.
If they stonewall you, and you lack witnesses, all you can do is what I do - tell the whole world what bad guys they are, and try to make it as best you can.
You can try to just replace the filter and gasket, and re-fill the
tranny with new fluid and some of the zMax stuff Shelby advertises...
Odds are, though, that the
tranny is damaged and will need repair now.
