I have the same car and mine is doing the same thing. A really high pitched whine. I checked the fuel pressure on mine and every thing checked out OK.

Im starting to fix up my stang not for performance right now just reliability and i was wondering if any of you can actually hear your fuel pump make a sound like it is almost whining because here lately i have really started to notice the sound whenever im at the right rear tailight, maybe i just havent payed attention or the pump is starting to go bad im not to sure so i thought id ask you guys if you have the same noise or if i need to get a new one

if you turn on the key you will here the fuel pump turn on,it will pressure up the system then turn off till needed, i cant hear the pump when the car is running ,and a loud whine is not good.
