Default Issues including hanging RPMs and more!

Hey again!

You guys always respond quickly and seem to provide solid information, wanted to go ahead and toss my newest issues up here!

Let's start with the big one (considering it's raining) my wipers suddenly don't work..! Initially I thought they were somehow wired into the same circuit as my head unit, since I just put a new Sony deck in the car and that stopped working at the same time as the wipers. So I took everything back out and checked all the connections, which seemed to be solid. Checked the power distro. box and no fuses seemed obviously blown..And that pretty much exhausted my knowledge of what could be going on.

Second, but no less important, and maybe more so! Lately my RPMs have been hanging when I shift. I usually shift at 4.5k or so when accelerating quickly, but have been shifting at lower RPMs because when I press the clutch to the floor the RPMs will hang, and sometimes actually rise! It's frustrating, seems to me that it would be detrimental to the car's health, and makes me feel like I'm not entirely "in control" ... Any ideas what's going on?!

Thanks in advance!!!

~David
