I'm almost positive that you're stuck with a Vortech unless you want to go with a turbo. Are you running a stock engine?
define stock. i have CAI, ACCEL coil and MSD wires.
Stock = a motor with all OEM components. With your current aftermarket parts, you don't have a stock 99' Mustang but you still have a stock engine. You need to upgrade your engine components (forged pistons & connecting rods, upgraded cylinder heads or have your stock heads ported and polished, rocker arms, valve springs etc.)
Unless you upgrade your engine internals, you can prepare for an engine melt down if you install a supercharger or turbo. However, a turbo would be less abusive to your engine and wouldn't destroy it as fast as a supercharger would.
you arent stuck with a vortech. you can get a M112 blower off a 03-04 Cobra and have it adapted to your stang. PM Mysteed for questions. He makes a M112 kits for V6. I talked to him many times about a kit I'm going to purchase. He's very helpful.

Completed mods:
GT Hood Scoop, Cobra R Bumper, Blackout Panel, Tinted Tails, Tinted Windows (30% side mirrors; 20% rear), Jensen 7" Touchscreen monitor, Chrome Headlights with no amber light, Black Bullitts 17x8, Cold Air Intake, Sniper Special Forces Tuner, True Dual Exhaust, White Face Gauges, Bullitt Cup holder/ AC Faceplate/Knobs/Ebrake, FRPP Hood Pins, Mach 1 Grille Delete
Forging internals are nice but not necessary. Many run a M112 kit without any of those mods and still have good working cars. All you really need to change is get a 8.8 rear end off a GT to withstand the increase in power and a dual exhaust.

Incorrect. So long as the IAT temps stay low, your engine is in good working order, and the rwhp is kept below 350rwhp many boosted motors are good for years after they are installed.

While a 8.8 is recommended, some people are still running the 7.5.
