Default Need help building the stroker.

I need to build and engine for school. I am running a 2002 3.8 with 95k miles, time to rebuild! I have decided I want to build a 4.3 stroker with an M90 SC, but I'm being overwhelmed with info on what works with what. My biggest concern right now is pistons and rods. I'm considering boring to 4". I work at an engine shop, but we only deal with GM LS series. SPECIFIC parts recommendations and insight will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!
-James

You might want to look into the ratio(?) between the rod and the cylinder clearence. with a longer stroke the rod is going to come closer to the cylinder wall as it rotates. You'll also want to keep in mind the length of the piston skirt.

Agreed, but as far as I know the 4.2 crank is a drop-in, no clearance work is needed. Aslo boring to 4" will allow more room.
