Default Clutch and Headers Need Help with problems!

I just recently installed a stage one spec clutch and flywheel into my mustang, its 00 V6 with the T-5 tranny. Before when I had my stock clutch in, the clutch would engage about in the middle of my clutch pedal, with the new one it engages at almost the top of the pedal, leading me to think maybe I need a new cable or possibly just get it adjusted. Also with this problem the clutch pedal itself likes to shake whether or not I am in gear. I have only 35 miles on the new clutch and flywheel, maybe they still need time to seat in properly, I have no idea. Second problem I am having is that I also installed new headers, they are the BBk Shorty headers, and Ive noticed that around 1000RPM the car shakes a little bit, I am not sure if this is normal or not and it has me concerned. The last problem I am having is that when I rev up my car the the speedo gauge likes to jump to 10mph, doesnt do it all the time but I know it isnt supposed to do this. I would like to know whats gone wrong with my car, any help and advice would be really appreciated.

problem 1 possible miss alignment when installed.

get an adjustable clutch cable quadrant if available for your year if not. get it adjusted however you can.

problem 2 1000 rpm shakes is not cause by headers i wouldnt be suprised if its your funky clutch that is shaking your car. fix problem 1 then see if 2 goes away.

problem 3 could be when installing these parts the speedo cable could have been bumped somehow and came loose maybe a screw is loose wherever the drive gear mounts to either trans or engine. most likely trans. check them.

good luck

It would depend on if the flywheel was installed properly. Did you mark your old flywheel when taking it off? 35 miles is not considered being broken in yet. It may take more than that. It took my car awhile for my clutch to break in. I even had to start it in gear or it would not go in, but that was with an agressive grind on the flywheel......

Ya the noise from the clutch has gone away for the most part, seems it just needs time to break in. The shaking i found was due to my tranny mount is shot. The rubber piece has deteriated pretty badly. I found a steeda clutch cable kit for about $100. Ill be picking that up sometime in the next week.
