Default Please Help!!

Hey guys, I have a 2001 V6 mustang with 34,000 miles. The past 3 days i have been having problems with starting it. It would crank but no start. Then i gave it a little gas and it started but right when i take my foot of the gas the car stalls/dies. Then today I tried to start my car and it happened again. It cranked but didnt start. But this time when I gave it gas it started up fine and i was able to take my foot off the gas and it would idle normal. It didnt stall/die. Does anyone have a clue to why this is happening? My family members said it might be the spark plug wires, they get wet for the rain and humidity. Is this true? Any ideas would be a great help.

this sounds very familiar.
i had a problem like this. i would start my car and it would wanna die and i would rev it to keep it alive till it eventualy ideld normal. eventualy i was at school and it wouldnt stay runnin for an hour. so i waited for a tow truck. when they got there is started it and my luck it ideld fine and i didnt need to rev it to keep it alive.

now my car is a 96 and its an V8. but it may be the same thing...for me it was a bad Oxogen Fuel Sensor.

The first day it happened I waited probably a good 10 mins after trying to crank it over and over again and it started. lol and of course when the tow truck comes it starts lol. so its bad Oxogen Fuel Sensor? Thanks I aprieceate your time. And congrats on getting a V8

It sounds like it's your IAC valve (Idle Air Control). It's attached to your throttle body.

which wire are you talking about? On the intake kit, you should have moved the MAF sensor and the air tube that attaches to your passenger side valve cover.
