Default 1996 Mustang V6 Fuel Filter Replacement

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and had a question. I have been searching the net for instructions but couldn't find what I was looking for and need your expertise. I just bought my Stang last year and have been tuning it up, its a 96 3.8L, and am looking to replace the fuel filter. Are their instructions on how to do this anywhere out there? Thanx.

no instructions are really necessary.

go into your trunk (left hand side) and press the fuel cutoff switch.

turn the car on until it dies.

remove the negative battery cable

get under the car. unclip the two fuel lines from the filter, remove the filter and install the new one in reverse order. Reset the car by re-fastening the negative battery cable back to the terminal. and voila you're done.

no problem, just be careful of fuel when you remove the filter. Even if you depressurized the system there still may be fuel in the lines.

Looking on advance, theirs a number of filters, any differences or just go with the cheapest one? Their all pretty close in price.

there's really no difference but I'd probably go with the motorcraft part if they have it, just to keep ford parts on the car.
