Default Track Lok issues

The previous owners of my 99 stang insisted on raw-hiding the car everwhere and ended up breaking the track lok in my rearend. Im goin to get another out of the mustang salvage yard and i wanted to know what all was involved with replacing a track lok so i could take the right tools with me to get it out

Is the T-lok that they broke aftermarket because the v6 stangs didn't come stock with T-lok.

If you do need a new one I wouldn't get it out of a salvge yard and I would definetly have professional install it.

V6 Rangers have them. You can look on the build tags on the rears to find out.

It would go: 3L27 The "L" would designate limited slip differential.

Some may get lucky on the end of the build year, but almost all have open differentials. Jack up the back of your car, turn either rear whell to see if they turn in the same direction. Same direction is t-lock, opposite is open differential......
