Default Twin Turbo V6 Mustang

Looks like i've made up my mind. Don't get me wrong, supercharging is a great way to go, but ive seen way more benefits in speed with turboing a v6. if i had a v8 id probably supercharge it but seeing as its a v6 ill turbo it and put every gt to shame.

Turbocharging isn't ricey at all in my books. Just the opposite. I'm not so sure you need twins. You could lay down the kinda power you're looking for with a single turbo.

I say go for it bro. I would love having a turbo 6 to surprise the heck outta some GT's.

I was always curious about putting turbo in a V6 Stang. Make sure to update how the process goes and what you bought! Who knows, maybe you'll convince me to do the same if it's "cheap" enough. Lol.

Putting a turbo on my car is probably the second best thing i have done to her so far. Number one of course would be building the motor to handle the power. I think a single turbo would be just fine!!!! I found my kit used for under 3k! Ive got my dyno of 15psi comin up on Aug 30.

ideally, you'll have to lower the compression ratio before you slap on the turbo. if you dont have plans of going that route, i suggest using a small turbo, say about 8-10lbs of boost.

forced induction is nice...if your engine can handle it

Ideally yes, but that's if your wanting to run 25-30psi and race gas. For the average car keeping the stock cr and running 93 octane is more than enough.

Oh, and going turbo is NOT cheap unless you can find a kit that's used.

Why not go supercharger? It is nearly the same price after it is all said and done not to mention the fact that there are many already made new kits on the market for superchargers unlike turbos. You can easily see 300 crank hp with a supercharger on a V6 which is quite a bit of power for the stock suspension and drive-train. Have you upgraded the suspension, drivetrain, wheels etc. etc. yet? Things are going to need to be upgraded whether people want to admit it or not. lol

Cheapest way to get a lot out of your stang would be a CAI, A tunner either SCT, Diablo Tunner, and A good Exhaust set up....maybe even Headers too. Each will run you over the $100 dollar mark But under $400 depending on what you get. Unless you go on Ebay and buy one...there you'll find em Cheap.
Have Fun.

What do you think the total hp gain would be with that... Roughly?
and also a rough price figure so I know how much to save...

Alright....probably the cheapest way to go is if you have an Ebay account.
otherwise this is a Price Range for each.
For Dual Exhaust and the Complete set up its going to be roughly $400 - 500 depending on what brand. some may run you a lil over.

The Tunner Programs are going to run roughly $270 - 380 but give your car A good Boost of Power. Again Depends on what one and where its found.

CAI's can run $100 to 180 range for the v6 I think the best Cold Air Intake for the V6 is BBK for the 99-04 v6 only $180 at Brothersperformance.com I Rebuit my Own Custom Intake from autozone knowing I would get a bit more out of it then ordering on for the mustang.

Headers...Well Depending again on what Type and kind. But i went with BBK Tuned Legnth Headers costed me $260 but sounds good. they'll be around that range $250 - 300

Anything else just ask.

I got as close as I could with prices.

Another thing you could do is go with gears I got 4.10 in my 01 auto and love them to death if you have a manual go with 3.73 parts and install should run you about 700 all together
