1999 v6 to 5.0???

I have seen some articles about swaping a 5.0 motor for the 3.8 but they are all on the older models, is it possible to do the swap with the newer v6's, if so what all needs to be bought with the motor to make it work. I have a 5-speed transmission

thankyou

Sure it is possible, all it takes is a lot of money. We have covered this before in here, but the short list of what you are going to need is.....
motor, computer, trans, rear end, front suspension....

It really isn't worth the swap. It is more popular on the older cars because they are dirt cheap to begin with.

With your year car, you can sell it and buy a GT for only a couple grand out of pocket. Where as the swap might fall into the $4K-5K range.

It's a money issue, not that anyone has anything against making a stang go faster

besides that it is illegal to put an older motor in a newer car.
it may not meet emission standars.

You can only swap an engine that is available for the same year.. So you could only swap in a 4.6...
