i was wondering what the best exhaust diameter was for a 1997 mustang v6 cause i bought 2 flowmaster 40 series delta flows and their 2 inch diameter in and out. ive heard the engine runs better if it is higher diameter than 2 inch and im not getting any turbo or superchargers.

A dual exhaust with 2 inch tubing will flow fine,unless you are planning alot of mods,i would then go to 2.5 tubing.

alright thanks for the info, the only thing i got in mind is split port swap, cold air intake, 3.73 gears, underdrive pulleys, and the flowmasters.

It should work fine.A dual 2 inch system is the same flow as a 3 inch single,so plenty of breathing room there.
