Hi everyone, I have a 2001 v6 mustang and lately it has really been acting weird. My boyfriend who knows more about cars than most people I know has worked on it until well he has given up on it lol. It has a check engine light that says "cylinder 2 misfire" according to his little computer thing. He has changed out pretty much everything to do with cylinder 2 and still the light is on and still my car is having what I call seizures. What that means is it stumbles... ALOT! in every gear at any speed... and it has a smell of gas really bad while it's running and the smell fills the cabin when the air is on, oh and the gas mileage has gone from almorst 300 miles in a tank when I got it to about 200 now.... so if anyone has any ideas how to get my stang back in well atleast good working order PLEASE reply.

Welcome... Did he change the fuel injector for that cylinder?

How about the coil? I just had that sort of problem and it was one of my coils.

I had the same problem, and like mentioned above, it was the coil...
