no mine bolted right in.. It feels alot better than my 7.5 did. Going down the interstate the rearend doesn't seem to float at all compared to my old rearend at high speeds. I got mine with less than 15000 miles on it for 500 and put gears in it and the difference is night and day. You can swap your old brake assembly over to the new rear end also or just buy new parts.
