The 1986 Mustang LX is a hatchback model with V6 auto, is a carbartor-style engine (all original), low 56,400 KMs in it.

My second thing on list is to swap out the auto transmission for a manual 4-spd (if a 5-spd can apply - please tell me) and keep with V6 for driving around in the city for commuting to work. later in near future - maybe I'll do the 5.0 engine swap but for now the V6 is real good and smooth.

Anyone know what type of manual transmission in which years I need to look for to do the swap? Thanks for all your help!

AMP Performance has the conversion kit with all you need to swap in a 5 speed in your steed. i will be getting a conversion kit for my pony in the next week or two. i cant wait.
