It helps with airflow and reduces heat soak. I have a picture of mine somewhere in the talk section on my '01. Overall gain is probably around 10hp or so, and it looks cool. I have a Cobra R hood and it all fits without much fabrication.......

will it clear the stock hood, and also, im hearing it has a front-mounted T/B, would my stock T/B fit, and where would i find intake plumbing to fit on to my fenderwell CAI. and why on earth would ford put a better intake on a minivan than its base mustang? what changes are made to the runners, if any? any other little mods that need to be done, such as ignition coil mounting, throttle cable mounting, sensors, etc.

It will fit under a stock hood, but you have to do a remote IAC sensor. The TB is front mounting, and you either need to use the Windstar TB and modify it, or buy an aftermarket one. I did my project for around $40.00 with everything, but I like to fabricate and invent things that will help other Mustangers. I fabbed up the throttle bracket, modified my stock TB and used Windstar TB and my '01 internals and TPS. The Windstar TPS and TB open backwards. My fuel rail modification required a prybar and patience. I needed an additional piece of 3" tubing and one rubber seal to use my current CAI and the new one. I did have to twist my CAI more towards the tire in order to get the right angle to go to the TB......

My pictures are in the talk section labeled "Windstar intake"

I moved it to the top in there.......
