Default 8.8 rear end specs

i just bought a 8.8 with 3.73 gears and the whole driveshaft. from a 99 GT my question is Can i just use the gt driveshaft and use it without any modifications on my 99 mustang and is there like a torque specs on the bolts and nuts? and if there is where can i get it from. i appreciate all the help i can get. thanks,.

driveshafts are the same between the 2 but you may need to swap the slip yoke if one is manual and the other is an automatic......... dont have the TQ specs in front of me but you will need 4 new driveshaft bolts, Ford part # N800594-S100

thanks for all the help. i am going to try to put it on this weekend. but why do i have to change the slip yoke?

you may not, I was just stating that the slip yokes are different from auto to manual.... now if both cars were manual or both were automatics, you're fine, but if one was an auto and one is a manual, you'll need the matching yoke for the transmission in Your car....

oooh okay. thanks. how long should i take me to swap them if i have all the right tools?. and i decided no to do it till i find ou the torque specs.

the whole rear with the driveshaft. i wanted to use the gt driveshaft

bolt torque specs on the 8.8's driveshaft to rear companion flange is 95-130 N-m (70-95 lb ft )
