Change wires.plugs,maf,iac senor,o2.Idle little better,notice that cataytic converter is glowing orange,and can hear poping on the engine.What to do next. thanks

Check for vac. leaks.You may have a converter that is bad also.

Yea the cat could be clogging up because over time they break down so that would be your best bet. Another thing might be that if your check engine light is on it might be a o2 sensor. Also excessive fuel could be a problem for it too. But I would replace the cat.

glowing orange??? my guess would be that one of your spark plugs arent firing and getting raw gas into your cat? i've never heard anything like that before...
