1997 Mustang Timing Cover Replacement.

I am replacing my timing cover on my 1997 mustang 3.8. I have the cover off and am preparing to reinstall it. I noticed the gasket set does not have the oil pan gasket(s) included. The auto parts stores tell me they have the half moon gasket, but do not have the bottom flat lips of the timing cover which seal to the oil pan.

Does anyone know if this gasket is available or will I need to drop the oil pan and replace the entire gasket?

Welcome to the site!!!! You can install a new pan gasket or just use a good bead of silicone on the cover to pan spot.Let it cure well and it should be fine.

Cherish those around you,for at the blink
of an eye, they can be gone.
