Hi all,I have 03 v6 and the factory 4 button remote starter wont start the car anymore.i bought the car used and it worked fine(starter)now recently since its cold out ive tried using it,it just beeps 2 times and flashes the headlights 2 times.Ford tells me its stuck in 'Valet' mode.They gave me a vague description on how to remedy the issue but to no avail,please help,didnt want to book shop rate for somthing so simple.Oh and it still unlocks/locks the doors just fine and pops trunk to.thanks in advance

there could be a couple things causing this. first of all check to see if you have a hood pin. ( if its installed correctly, then you should have one under there). if the alarm thinks the hood is open, then it wont start. a lot of times, they rust out and get stuck. or make sure that the wire isnt touching a ground.

a lot of remote starts also have an on/off switch somewhere under the dash. check under the dash and see if theres one there. sometimes they get kicked into the off position.

I fixed the issue just before I read the post!!A friend advised me of the same response you gave me so I tried and voila!! lol..thanks though,it was the hood pin ground.
