Default M-112 blower on stock V6 motor?

i know it is possibly to mount an M-112 blower on a V6 mustang but can you run stock internals with it? or will it just damage the stock internals like nitrous does? because its something im really looking into but i dont want to go that route if i need new internals such as a stoker kit. and yes ive read i will probably need a new hood.

Think about it...

An m112 twin-screw supercharger, built for the Cobra, on stock V6 engine components.

I spoke to MySteed, and we had a huge discussion about the possibilities. And yes, though it's possible, you need a really built V6 motor to withstand the power. Stroker kit, forged internals, methanol injection, intercooler, etc...

There's a kit out there in the 3.HATE website. Going m112 means you have all the hookups or money.

what it came off of is irrelevent. How it is utilized and how he runs it will be the big factor... He could have a turbo the size of the car on the thing, and if it was setup to cap off at a set pressure, he would have no problems...

An M112 on 3# of boost is nothing and won't do much in the performance arena. Yes, you could run it on the standard 6#, but for how long is the problem. A twin screw is harder on a crank than a turbo or centrifugal supercharger.......

Intake temps are another issue......

^ He is right. If you run a reasonable amount of boost on the engine it won't be harmful. The thing is how are you going to be driving it. If you are hammering on the throttle all the time then the engine won't last, but that is the case with or without a supercharger. And yes the intake temps. are pretty high with the M112. The M112 is not a bad supercharger for a little bit of power but it is far from efficient.

The stock crank in the V6 is not going to shatter with 300hp or even 350hp, I wouldn't worry about the crank I would worry about the piston's and rods first.

well im not sure how to fix the intake temp problem?? and i know i can find pistons and rods and get it done im just sayin thats a good chunk of money.. i have very very limited money resources.. so is the power gains from the M112 with new pistons and rods worth the trouble and money?

Most people think it is worth it. lol You can run the M112 on the stock engine as long as you are not trying to run insane amounts of boost and are not racing the car everyday all day.

You can cure the intake temps using an intercooler or methanol injection kit or Nitrous. You should not really need any of thosse until you start running higher boost though. You can generally run the M112 without an intercooler at 300hp pretty safely. 300hp in the V6 is decently quick too.

You can run an M112 blower with stock internals. The thing you have to have is a good tune and make sure that you are not running the balls out of the car all the time.
