The intakes are easy to do. If you have someone there with a little bit of mechanical knowledge or know-how then the heads should not be a big deal. The worst part I think is trying to remember all the wires and sensors and where they plug into. lol

+1 I dont think the upper and lower will be a problem not even the heads seem that scary.... its just pulling the motor and installing the cam thats got me worried. maybe if I had some help I wouldn't be such a chicken.

Anytime you go into a motor, you better know what you're doing or it will come back to bite you......

Uppers and lowers are okay, but when it comes to cam and heads, that is a different story.....

i'm not 100% sure, but keep in mind our sixers are a lil shorter than an 8, i haven't done one but according to my haynes manual you can remove the grill and the radiator and should be able to get that cam out w/o pulling the motor

i recommend taking a lot of pictures of your motor as you pull stuff off... they can save your ass in the long run as a nice little reference... it really sucks when you get your car back together and you realize you still have 3 extra bolts and a sensor and you have no idea where they were

True story, It is always slightly depressing to put something back together and then look down and see a pile of extra parts left over... lmao

Not trying to scare you. Just trying to make some of you realize that if you have never done it before, it is not an easy job. You need to make sure you order new head bolts because you should never re-use the ones you took off. They will never torque properly. Do not listen to the Chilton's manual on this or you will be doing it again. It might not be now, but it will be soon.

All I was trying to say is that there are certain steps needed in doing the project. It is not a "slap it on and go" thing unless you have done it several times........
