Thanks guys. That's great to hear.
The cars marked as salvage which sucks a bit. But it drives so great and has 49k on it (low mileage for 2000). It has been in a ditch before. It's immaculate though, at least seems to be. I think this is why it is so cheap at $6000
I think in 2002 it needed a new transmission, clutch, and a bunch of other things. Then in 2007 it went into a ditch with front and rear bumper damage. I think that's why the kit was put onto it and painted it has a cobra kit, but it's not a cobra. Including cobra steering wheel and seats. The cobra badges are on the sides etc, it's been taken care of, hopefully! it passed the safety etc I know that i'd have more trouble selling it in the future, however I plan on keeping it for 5 or 6 years so if I do that it'll only be worth 1000 or 2000 by then probably, or there abouts - so it won't really face any checks. And as long as it's done me good over that time I wouldn't feel bad about selling it as is.
I'm trying to get a loan for it worried they are going to check the vin though, but i'm not sure if they will check - if I don't secure the loan on the car (I think there's slightly higher interest on a loan not secured on a car). Other option is line of credit I might apply for that instead, no idea what the interest will be like on that but then they definitely won't check the vin as I can do what I want with a line I think. |
