Default more mustang v6 power

i have a 2003 v6 and want more power. I have a cold air intake and dual flowmaster straight pipes. What can i do to get more power without spending alot of money? Is there anything i can do to make it luder?

Not sure exactly what you mean by Flowmaster straight pipes...Flowmaster makes chambered mufflers, not muffler deletes. If you do in fact have flowmasters and not straigh pipes, you can always get a midpipe. You can also invest in either high flow cats, or gut the cats entirely depending on how legal and how loud you want to go.

I would try to find headers and dump the flows at the rear end.I had this done to mine and it has a deep exhaust sound that u can hear my car 3 blocks away.

Sometimes u can find headers that will fit your stock exhaust pipes. Also u keep the muffs just dump them in front of rear end pointing down to the ground.Mine pass inspection when my state had it.Chip, tuner, throttle body will be over 300 bucks, will not give a alot of sound increase without a major increase in hp.

A used set of good headers alone will cost about 150 to 300 bucks atleast.

You wont need to re-due your whole exhaust if you get shortys.
It's only if you get long tubes.
I wouldnt dump the pipes under the car. It does sound nice but it has a nasty exhaust smell in the car when your sitting at the light.

Longtubes, shorty, and equal lenth are types of headers by lenth.

If you get longtubes you'll need a new mid pipe.
Now with shortys you keep the stock mid pipe.
There called equal lenth because someone figuerd out on how to route each tube so the gas meets at the same time.
The equal lenth headers should also use the stock mid pipe.

Keep in mind you have a GT with 8 cylinders, we have v6's, they sound absolutely terrible dumped.

If you buy headers buy longtubes, shorties provide no gains.

Shorties will give you gains in power. Just not as much as a long tube will. I just through shortys in there because he had about 300 dollars to spend.

Thats not enough to get a longtube set up.
