Hi all. First timer here. My 2000 Mustang V6 just clicks when I try to start it. I had the battery checked at Checker and they said it was good. I replaced both terminal connections on the battery cables with no luck. I noticed that the positive cable has some green corrosion on it. I was going to replace the cable to the starter but I can't figure out how to get to the connection on the starter. And ideas or suggestions on what the problem could be and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

make sure the terminals are tight and corrosion free.
when you try to start it, do all your guages sweep?

What happens when you jump it? If it jumps easily, it is your battery cables. You need to have good contact with the battery in order for it to fire the starter. Clean the terminals with a wire brush at the very least and make sure you get the inside of the terminal.......

To get to the connection on the starter, disconnect the battery, and you might be able to get it from above by the passenger's side firewall. If not, you need to jack it up and remove the starter bolts.

Thanks for the info. My gauges do sweep when I try to start it. When I tried to jump it I got the same result. I have jacked up the car and can't see the top bolt.

You get the top bolt from up top or through the
fenderwell/k-member. It's easier......
