Default Mach tweaters setting them up for regular stereo

My amp doesn't have many outlets, so i'm wondering if I can buy stand alone high pass filters (little bit of circuitry?) to connect to the cabling just before the tweaters.

my tweaters and door speakers have been spliced together but i'm pretty sure that if I add this to the connection right before the speakers - that this should do the job.

issue is - that I have no idea what the high pass componants are that I should purchase, and how much of a high pass I should get (do I have to get the right high pass bits that match the 'ohms'?

if someone can point me into the direction for getting these bits I can wire them in and enjoy the tweaters, they pound a bit at the moment when the stereos up loud because they arn't supposed to be getting the full range that they are currently getting.

thanks for any help and hope nobody minds me posting a similar (yet more specified) it should be useful for others.

Thanks

the way that i see it is, if you have a strong enough radio (pioneer), then you can run the door speakers directly from it cause it would get you enough power since you dont have that many ports on the amp. then all you would have to do is run the tweeters and the highs off of the amp that you currently have. i install music and that is how i have my mustang connected music wise. pioneer will give you 50x4 and all that you are using is x2.

if you had pics of the setup that you have then the question would've been a lil easier to ansa. i hope that i was some type of help to you.

thanks.

i'm either going to connect any old bass blockers to the tweeters. or wire the tweeters directly to the stereo as you've mentioned.

i've got two tweeters in the back aswell alongwide the standard two in the back. I think they are tweeters anyway alongside anyway. again wired by a muppet.

trying to figure it all out. will get there!
