Default 95' Mustang, stiff clutch?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum, just bought a 95' Mustang to keep for the winter months and had a few questions:

The clutch is super stiff, I can barely feel it engaging because the gas pedal is light compared to the clutch pedal. Getting a softer feel for it will just take time adjusting to as I've only had it a day, all my other manual shifts have had an even clutch and gas feel before so I may have to just suck it up and get used to it if it's not adjustable.

But anyhow, is there a way to adjust this? It's the stock tranny but was rebuilt about 2 years ago and from what I'm told, nothing special was used to rebuild it besides regular Ford parts.

Also, there is a high pitch whine while idling or driving, it goes away when the clutch is engaged though.
