Angry 2004 Stang with vibration thats making me shudder

My 2004 Ford Mustang has started vibrating/shuddering between 35 and 40 miles an hour under light acceleration, it doesn't do this all the time but when it does the whole car vibrates before shifting into the next gear. I took the car in to have it looked at and the mechanic who looked at it....did just that, he looked at it, drove it and told me that there wasn't anything wrong with the transmission. I'm not sure if its in the driveline or not but its driving me bonkers.

When was the last time you rotated/balanced your tires. It's a long shot but might account for some of your vibration issues.

I had the same issue. It turned out to be a fouled out plug that wasn't operating correctly. After doing a simple tune up. The vibration went away. Does is hesitate a little when your accelerating? It could even be dirty injectors. I'd try a tune up first.

try using some SCT injector and fuel system cleaner, replace your spark plugs and wires, because it sounds like misfire to me
i had the same problem when i first got my mustang... my sparkplug wires were fouled and the plugs were BLACK (some lady had it before i did) so i replaced those and then ran some SCT fuel injector and fuel system cleaner on a full tank of gas and it went away!!

Default Still vibrating

Well I tryed replacing the U-Joints and I had a fuel system flush and injector clean done on the car, and the vibration is still there.... Next is to balance the wheels, if that doesn't take care of the problem then I guess its back to the shop

i think your mechanic is just guessing...

like said before, its more than likely your wheels need to be balanced.
do you feel the vibration in the steering wheel?

No I dont feel a vibration in the steering wheel, it feels more like its in the drive train, or drive shaft.

Check the motor mounts, maybe those have gone south.

Question It wont go away =-(

Well I checked the motor mounts out, they were good, and I also had the tires balanced and filled with nitrogen....I still have the vibration. It does it everytime I take off from a stop sign between 35-40 mph, it shudders before shifting into the next gear. I dont know whats next, maybe a transmission service?

I know its a silly question but have you had an after market exhaust installed on your car? In mine, under the right load and at the right rpm, my whole car shakes from the rumble. Im not trying to say its bada** or anything, but it happens. Also check the tires over thouroughly(sp?). I have been getting a wierd vibration in mine occasionally at around 50 mph. I isolated the problem to the right front tire, looked at it and found that the rubber is chunking away somehow. Seems to be a problem with this car as the set before this did the exact same thing and caused a spin out on the highway.

Question

My car still has the factory exhaust, and my tires only have 6,000 miles on them. I have Nitto Extreme Performance tires, I do know that they are directional. One side of the car says left only and has an arrow pointing in the direction of how the tire is supposed to rotate, and the other side says right only. I did however put the front tires to the back when I balanced them, but was told I couldn't put them on the otherside of the vehicle cause they were directional. I dont know if that makes any difference?

I have the exact same problem. It has nothing to do with trans or wheel balance. Please, if anyone has any good ideas please let us know thanks. I've heard about this often. Someone has to know the answer. Thanks very much ahead of time!
