I went onto super six and for the power pack they sell it would be for the intake manifolds and heads about $1900 and just that would give you 70 more horsepower and thats the cheapest you want more horses it'll be more money and a cam would be any where from $200-$500 depending on what you want and a cam would give you more horses too.

Huwhatever.

I was surprised myself that the mods on my V6 had her keeping up, but I guess it's all about the driver. Then again, all these Camaros out here are all running on 20" chrome wheels...

Dey be thinkin' it's straite up Gangsta.

You know what sucks I have researched the parts to really do some good mods to my 99 v6 but I still don't have enough money to do them and now I'm gonna have a kid so I really don't know when I'll be able to do them. But at least I'm helping people go in the right direction to do what I can't do. One day hopefully.

Wrong. The chevrolet 3.8L only made 7 more hp and similar torque. Not nearly enough to compensate for the extra weight the camaro has. I walked v6 bow tie's a many a time before I did my heads and cam.

Shorties dont do anything for power; but longtubes do produce some power, even on a stock motor. And IMO they sound sick. The problem with longtubes is they are expensive, the dont have a lot of ground clearance (hence scraping on uneven ground, especially when lowered), and if you have emissions restrictions you might not pass.

$1900 is for the stage 2 pack. Tom Y will suggest that he get the 2+ pack because he has a stick. That is $2500 and then you have other odd and end parts like gaskets, head bolts, timing parts, fluids, etc. which will add another $250-$300. The he will need to tune it which should be a dyno tune, that will be another $350. And I am basing all of this on the fact that he can do the work himself. To have a good shop do it add another $1000.

When I did just the heads and cam it totaled around 3g's; thats having a shop install and tune.

A basic regrind cam is fairly cheap, but a GOOD comp specd cam is $395 from super six.

Yes, fasfazr is a douche. And that's why I wanna get the longtubes is because of how good they sound, personally i think the shorties sound like crap, cuz I ain't pumpin out too much sound for a V6, one of my main goals is to get it louder while producing more power. I'd love to get cams and heads but right now it's way outta my price range, so intake, and gears are next. My main priority though right now is mopping the floor with the Camaro, he's a huge talker and I wanna put him in his place. How much would gears run me> Both 3.73's and 4.10's?
