So I was looking around to find a more efficient spark plug (read more power). Has anyone actually had experience with spark plugs improving performance either hp or mpg? Any experience with the pulse plugs, I saw those in a mag and claim big gains.

Honestly, on a stock v6 I would just use the motorcraft plugs and wires. Won't see much if any gain from aftermarket ones.

Hey mike, I'm not car expert but plugs either fire or they don't. The gas in the camber either combusts or it doesn't. Adding a bigger spark shouldn't make any difference whatsoever. I think those ads about better "performance" are up there with magnetic fuel stabilizers giving you 30%+ more fuel economy. It's all snake oil.
The only thing that should make a plug more worthwhile than another is longevity. Spark plugs are made from a variety of materials and they all break down/oxidize over time, the cost of the plug over how long it reliably fires is the only figure I'd be concerned with.

Gapping is a big deal too. Too much or too little can cause misfires and other mishaps.

When you go with a power adder. Even then, there are very few that don't experience spark blow-out.......
+1 When you go with a power adder, you will probably need a cooler range spark plug.
Other than that, you are paying for materials and longevity. When I replaced my plugs and wires = no gain. Just peace of mind that they will keep firin'
