Default Long tube headers question

i know the exhaust questionbs are getting annoying lol but i just want to make sure i get everything right. with an off road xpipe and flowmaster 40s would having long tube headers make the exhaust sound different than having the stock shorty ones? or do they just increase flow because i dont want to spend the extra money on them if they arent going to improve the sound or increase hp that much

Not that much of a HP increase, especially on a V6. Can't really give you an exact number, but the manufacturer's generally claim 10-25HP. The off road pipe and flowmasters will definitely make some noise and then with the headers you will have a loud SOB. The problem is , they don't all just add extra HP and headers tend to leak a bit if not installed perfectly.

yah alot i hear some people complaining that their headers where not installed correctly my friend has stock manifolds an off road x pipe and flowmasters and it sounds really good even at a decent amoutn of RPMS so im guessing to fork out an extra 270 bucks plus instillation wouldnt be worth it

Hey, a bolt-on its a bolt-on so install them also if you plan to s/c or put nitrous, headers will help a lot...
