Default 2004 v6 3.9l cai?

2004 v6 3.9L CAI? I've checked up with BBK and they don't recommend their CAI for my '04. I know its not the 3.8L and apparently something to do with O2 sensor. Anyone got some advise?

Most will work from 99-04. I got a MAC intake and it works really good but it is kinda expensive

i believe any of the CAI's for the 3.8s will work fine for the 3.9s the intakes and such are all the same only difference is the crankshaft

Default Underdrive pully?

The MAC cai looks good. Thanks! About how much HP gains to be expected from the combo of the Throttle and CAI? I believe this combo will be my first add and then a true dual exhaust. Perhaps chip after that.

any 3.8 CAI should work, I would not suggest the throttle body right now unless you have a huge modification list.

Gains would be 1-5rwhp.

indeed. There is no difference from the 3.8 to the 3.9 except a very small gain of .1L. Other than that, the engine is exactly the same.

I had an 04 3.9 and I bought a K&N CAI. It was expensive but added a few horsepower. It was about $250. I am about to put a generic CAI on my current 04 3.8. $59.00 for this one on autogrimmig.com
