So here's my problem. After last weekends autocross my car has developed a weird squeaking noise. It is only really noticeable at low RPM's. I did the obvious thing and checked the belt and it isn't loose and it isn't cracked or anything. Was else could be causing the squeaking?

I have experienced this problem first hand. If the squeking noise is coming from the engine or (suspension when you turn your wheel when still or at low rpms) it is a ball joint going bad. I noticed this noise after it rained last week for three days and decided to ignore it. DONT. Yesterday I was driving it aroung and pulled up to a stop light and my front right ball joint broke. and my car sunk. I now know that if it starts squeking it is a ball joint.

I don't think that it is a ball joint because the squeaking is coming from under the hood. It happens the worst when the car isn't moving so I don't think that it is suspension related. Thanks tho
