Water pump question on 3.8l V6

Does anyone know how to tell if my water pump is going bad? I've got a slight squeak coming from the engine bay. I thought it might be the belt so I replaced it and it is still squeaking. It sounds like it is coming from the water pump and I was wondering if it could possibly be the bearings? Any help would be great!

it could be the water pump but my bet would be on the idler pulley take the belt off and spin the idle pulley and c if it squeeks then check the water pump to see if it squeking from there

Put a spin on the alternator pulley while your there. Sometimes the wheephole will spill some coolant if its going bad as well.

How many miles are on it?

The car just rolled over 75,000 miles. The alternator was replaced about 3 months ago so I don't think that would be what is making the noise.
