Default 1998 Ford Mustang boggs down?

Something is wrong with my car as I drive down the road. My car will bogg down and the revs wont go up. I try to give it gas and it wont do anything and after a few seconds it will be fine. It does it in any gear. My friend says its dirty fuel injectors so I bought some fuel injector cleaner but I haven't use it yet. Does anyone know what it might be other than it being the fuel injectors? Thanks for all the help.

Fuel injection cleaner is snake oil meaning it won't do anything really.

I'd look at fuel pressure. Possibly a fuel filter on its last legs or if you are unlucky it could be the pump.

sounds like a vacuum leak to me

with the engine idling, take some intake cleaner or brake cleaner and spray your intake connections and vacuum lines, if it revs up you've got a leak.

no check engine light?

The check engine light is on but its for the mass air flow sensor.

I am not sure, I got the car about 5 or 6 months ago. I am planning on giving it a tune up as soon as I get some cash.

Might be the fuel filter. I hope its just that since it will be cheap to get.

Mass Airflow Sensor issues will give you alot of driveability problems too. I'd fix that first and foremost if it is a known problem.

Well I went to autozone and see what they say, and I guess the part I was thinking of is something else. Its the Idle Air Control Valve instead of the Mass Air Flow Sensor. The guy who traded it to me was pointing at the Idle Air Control but he was saying it was the Mass air flow. I am guessing he was lying and really stupid since he allso said it was worth 5,000 bucks. But anyways the Idle air control looks good and autozone said the next thing to look at is a vaccum leak which some people on here has told me. I am going to just take it to a mechanic sence I am not 100% sure on where to check it at.

Yeah thats what he said. I am not sure why though maybe he knew how much my truck was worth. Because I could of sold my truck for 5k. Well I didn't get it check at that time I didn't think about it lol. Well the other IAC I had I guess is old because the car ran like sh*t when I put it on so I am guessing its new, the IAC that was already on it look pretty much new.
