Exclamation 1994 Mustang fuel injector question!

i think my fuel injectors might be bad. i doubt anyone has replaced them or cleaned them before i even got this car. i want to replace them but dunno how. it looks like i have to take apart the whole top of my engine just to get to them. ( thats a lot of bolts and nuts) any ideas or tips? cuz i dont see any easy way out of replacing them, other than going to a mechanic shop. screw that.

any help? or steps on how to get to them?

If you have an issue with the injectors, and you end up replacing them, all you have to do is remove the upper intake, then you should be able to access all of them.

I think we need some more info before you go replacing injectors. I wouldn't want you to replace them only to find the problem still exists......

Hi.
The injectors are held in by the fuel rail, O rings make the seal on top and bottom. The fuel rail is bolted to the manifold. The good news is they are easy to get off, but you have to remove a bunch of stuff to get at them. They are also expensive.

Why do you suspect the injectors? In my experience they rarely go bad.
What problems are you having?

John

i had white smoke and gas/oil flying out of my exhaust pipes. im thinking my fuel injector(s) is open. and is spraying gas into the crank case?

i replaced them for a good price and actually got 1998 mustang injetors. i think its an upgrade. but the old 94's had 4 holes for the gas to spray out. these 98's have just one hole for spray. could there be any problem with that?
