i just bought a 2001 V6 convertible with 80k one owner miles. drove it home 250 miles and it ran just great. it does have some mods...cold air intake, shorty headers, duals, and probably some more.
although it runs great, my only concern is where the oil pressure indicator sets. it runs and idles only at about 1/3 the way over...between 1/4 and 1/2. just wonder if this is normal. i'd like to see it run about 1/2 way over at least. i also have a ford sport trac with a 4.0 V6 and it has 150k miles and runs and idles at the center point.
the mustang has white face guages, would they register any differently?
the oil looks very clean, but i will probably change it this week sometime...any recommendations?

I would make sure its full first. But it is possible when they re-installed the guage needle's, they got them slightly off.

Mine sits past the half mark but when it starts to get dirty or used it goes below.

My V6 full with new oil runs around 1/3 of the way up at idle. It also has the white cluster.
