mine is also that way.
the performance tune is a 93 octane tune.
the factory hp tune is a 87 octane tune; it isnt a modified tune, it just lets you change paramters from stock settings.

you may lose a couple hp, maybe...
the drawback to using a lower octane than you should is that you risk pinging/detonation.

if you use the 93 tune, just use 93 octane, and make sure you buy quality gas from a good station; like shell, bp, etc.

Very bad idea to run a 93 octane tune with a lower octane fuel. Good way to invoke the gods of detonation. That can be very destructive to the engine even for short periods.

hey guys i see that i can use 91 oct with that 93 oct tune but i just have to report -2 degree of spark.... but how can i do this while the tune is already into the car? because if i go modify it into the factory hp tune, it erase the diablo tune? thanks!

you can modify the performance tune. choose Performance Tune, choose Modify Tune, retard the timing 2 degrees at 2K-4K and also at 4K-7K, and then install the performance tune.
then you can run 91 octane fuel without worries.

a good rule of thumb is that every increase in octane rating you use, you can safely add 1 degree of timing.

you should be ok if you buy quality gas, but if you hear any pinging, retard the timing.

92? why not 93? should be about the same price, give or take a few cents lol

lol i see.
well as far as i know, i think BP is a good quality gasoline, you should be fine, just be aware if it ever does start pinging. and i really doubt that it will.

(because the factory hp tune is the 87 oct. tune) ?? thanks for help!

if you use 92 octane on a 93 octane tune and start hearing pinging (detonation), retard the timing 1 degree.
