mud ? in your fuel filler neck?????
OP:
if the check fuel cap light is on, that means there is an evap leak, usually large enough that the pcm thinks you left the cap off, rather than setting a p0456. if your sure its tight, then take the cap off and look at the threads on the cap and look at the threads on the filler neck and make sure theres no gaps or bends or anything like that. when you fuel up, you dont lean on the nozzle do you? because that can damage the threads and cause the cap to leak.
When are you going to stop this?? also I was talking to him not you...
When there's alot of wind it gets dirty in there right.. then mosst people drop fuel then they're refiling so that creates A LITTLE MUD! DEPENDING WHERE YOU DRIVE.

the reason i qouted you YET AGAIN, is because you said something that makes no sense, now listen and you may learn something...
gasoline does not turn into mud.
wind does not turn into mud.
unless you drive down a dirt road with your fuel door open and your gascap off, you're not going to have any mud in your filler neck. if by some terrible luck you find that you have mud anywhere in your fuel system, an evaporative emissions system leak is the LEAST of your worries.

if the threads look ok, then replace the cap.
Didn't you know mud in your gas and fuel filler neck is a common problem? [No I'm just kidding]
Anyway +1 good advice.
